How to keep and maintain your vinyl siding

Tip #1 - Clean them.

Vinyl siding does not require painting or staining like other siding materials do, but it will be in your benefit to clean them once every 2-3 years and remove all the dirt that accumulates on them.

You can use power wash for cleaning, but keep in mind to use it on low pressure. After all, it's plastic not bricks. Some individuals recommended a combination of water and white vinegar for great results.

Tip #2 - watch out for things.

Vinyl sidings are very strong and durable, but they can still break or scratch. You should avoid parking your mower, bicycles, etc.. , right next to it.

Tip #3 - Walk around your house once in a while.

Its always good practice to walk around your property and inspect it. After all, if something is wrong, you will like to know about it as soon as possible and address the issue.

Tip #4 - Keep your grill few feet away

Vinyl siding can melt when exposed to intense heat. Keep your grill 2-3 ft away from your house and don't use any intense heat source close to your exterior walls.
